Seriously, do you? Do you really? You don’t have to answer out loud. Most people won’t. I know. I’ve spent most of my life being looked at strangely. Why? Because I don’t cavein. Most people who have put me down made caving in and doing what others expected into an art form.
I don’t much care if you think I’m ugly. I don’t think I am. I sure do not care if you think working hard is for fools. Shoot, if that’s the definition of a fool, I’m proud of it. As a kid, there were plenty of people my age running away from home. I never even considered it. I loved my family. I had friends who were fun to be with. Know what? They loved my family as well. They loved to be at my house.
There were always people more popular…

Then gently you will lift me up
and carry me into nature
and under the moonlight
you will lay me down gently
on the earth from which you were molded.
Your eyes will be feasted upon my beauty
and you will want to bite me Continue reading Rain Shall Fall – part 2
The street was very busy but she saw me. I didn’t see her. As a matter of fact I saw no-one because my mind was too busy re-calculating the cost of the items I purchased in the supermarket. I was wondering where my money went so quickly.
So when I bumped into her I was so frightened. I quickly said sorry and stepped out of her way. But she gently took my right hand and shifted me to the side of the road. I didn’t resist her because she was very old and I didn’t want to be rude so I kept quiet. Then she used the tip of her finger to lift my chin so that our eyes were focused on each other.
Then she said in a shaky voice,”Please I’m begging you….” I didn’t allow her to finish I immediately said, “oh..” and started opening my purse. She quickly shook her head and said, “No, my child…no money. I am just begging you please to smile, whatever just happened, God still loves you, he is in control.”
I was touched.

So this is my message to you too. God still loves you!
You see, yesterday I had no idea that my facial expression after leaving the supermarket was so ugly. I allowed the system of things to stole my smile. But thanks be to God, a woman of love saw it and made me aware.
The truth is that we just cannot conceal how we feel sometimes no matter how we try because our thoughts will reflect on our faces, whether they be good or bad.
That is why we have to train our minds to think good at all times. Sometimes it’s really hard but we have to try if we want to be approachable and have a pleasing personality.
Yes, God is in control of everything and he still loves us no matter the circumstances. So when we make it a point of duty to keep focus on his love we will be more able to face our problems and the world with a smile.
To all my American friends who follow my blog please don’t let the outcome of the election take away your smile because at the end of the day, no matter who wins life still goes on. I wish you all the best on this day.
To all my other followers and potential followers please watch your thoughts, guard them and keep on smiling through thick and thin.
Have a great day…God is in control!
Chatterboxes, hypocrites, ungrateful people, conniving people, backbiters, deceivers, ( and the list goes on) are some very dangerous people to be around and they should be avoided. The ungrateful ones however, are the most dangerous ones from the experiences I have had with them.
What I love most about them is the pretentious amnesic syndrome that they love to display. Oh boy, these people are such users and will do anything to get what they want.
They will come to you with tear-stained faces, brokenhearted and helpless, and you put out your best and even go out of your way just so you can assist them but at the end of the day…they forget! They forget and pretend as though they did it all on their own. And their forgetfulness hurts; especially if it’s being handed down by a family member or a very close friend.
