Do You Make Wise Ethical Choices?

Ethical Choices

Do you consider yourself to be an ethical person? Does your speech, behavior, and action promote good ethics? Do you make wise ethical choices?

Who is an ethical person?

In life we should make choices that are guided by our moral values and conscience. So an ethical person is simply someone who knows what is right from wrong, honest from dishonest, fair from unfair, and acts accordingly.

I do my best to be an ethical person, but sometimes I falter, and that’s the truth. Because of my imperfections I sometimes find myself in situations in which I make unwise ethical choices. However, all of us are responsible for own ethical choices, and we should exercise these choices with feelings for others.

How should we act?

We should demonstrate in our conduct, respect for each other as well as ourselves, and make sure that our opinions and our feelings are always truthful and honest. Furthermore, we should ensure that we promote or continue to promote ethical living through the choices we make each day so that our actions do not affect others.

Promoting good ethics

Promoting ethical living through the choices we make will make us feel better within ourselves, which in turn will result in us living an honest, truthful, and healthier life. We will also learn to stop and think before making hasty decisions, especially when it comes to making decisions about important life goals, and we will learn how to conduct ourselves in any given situation.

Now tell me, how do you feel about ethical living? Do you always make wise ethical choices?

  1. Life is definitely a journey, and we can’t always get it right. That’s ok, because we’re human. I think everything that is done with the intention of doing something good for this world is a positive thing. If you falter, that’s ok. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Learn from the experience and move on. That’s how I see it at least. Great blog by the way.

  2. Honestly? My whole life been high on ethical standards but! the lapses when I falter! Horrible! Shameful! Then? Behold! The power of love from on high descended on me! Wow! Transformed! Now? In His Presence now I rest away from all moral conflicts! In Him I am complete. Perfectly ethical. Genuine spontaneously….All honor be to the One my gaze is set upon! Much love, thiaBasilia. 🙂

  3. I would say that I’m an ethical person, I was brought up by good role models who taught me the right values and good work and life ethics. But I’d be lying if I said I always make ethical choices. I’ve made mistakes and bad decisions but I’d never deliberately hurt someone. Life can be testing, that’s for sure.

  4. I always attempt to make ethical choices, and although I find it difficult to think of when I don’t, I am sure someone can bring up something I’ve forgotten. I feel it is a blessing to not have been truly tested. For example, I have never had to make a choice between not stealing or not eating. With this in mind, I pray that I can always be as compassionate as I think I am “ethical.”
