Seriously, do you?  Do you really?  You don’t have to answer out loud.  Most people won’t.  I know.  I’ve spent most of my life being looked at strangely.  Why?  Because I don’t cavein.  Most people who have put me down made caving in and doing what others expected into an art form.

 I don’t much care if you think I’m ugly.  I don’t think I am.  I sure do not care if you think working hard is for fools.  Shoot, if that’s the definition of a fool, I’m proud of it.  As a kid, there were plenty of people my age running away from home.  I never even considered it.  I loved my family.  I had friends who were fun to be with.  Know what?  They loved my family as well.  They loved to be at my house.

Don’t Forget About The Homeless

Every now and then I would come across people who are homeless and suffering, and it would break my heart. Then I would wish silently for the power to change their lives and ask God to touch the hearts of the more fortunate people to extend a helping hand to those in need.

I just don’t know what life has in store for me. I have seen people who had everything lost it all in a blink of an eye. And the sadness of it all is that the people whom they thought would stand by their sides turned their backs on them.

Sometimes I feel OLD. My two wrinkles are particularly obvious that day, my back is aching for no reason and I’m going to bed early on a Saturday night. No wonder people complain about aging and dread growing old. Well, I’m tired of it! No, I’m not tired of getting old. I’m tired of hearing the complaints. Call me delusional, but I really don’t think it’s as bad as it seems. Here are some of my optimistic reasons why growing old means that life only gets better.
