Real Talk-Ungrateful People

real-talk-thursday-4Chatterboxes, hypocrites, ungrateful people, conniving people, backbiters, deceivers, ( and the list goes on) are some very dangerous people to be around and they should be avoided. The ungrateful ones however, are the most dangerous ones from the experiences I have had with them.

What I love most about them is the pretentious amnesic syndrome that they love to display. Oh boy, these people are such users and will do anything to get what they want.

They will come to you with tear-stained faces, brokenhearted and helpless, and you put out your best and even go out of your way just so you can assist them but at the end of the day…they forget! They forget and pretend as though they did it all on their own. And their forgetfulness hurts; especially if it’s being handed down by a family member or a very close friend.

Yeah man…it hurts badly! It floods your heart with pain and your eyes refuse to release that pain. So when you see them walking around all high and mighty, treating you as if you are a non-entity you feel like punching them in their faces…and this is no joke, its real talk.

But because you are higher than those thoughts you smile because you can’t cry and you keep quiet because you can’t talk. Seriously, our silence towards them is the most powerful weapon we can use to kill them.

Let them have their time of day and leave everything to karma. We can’t allow ungrateful people to stop us from doing good because at the end of the day God knows the sincerity of our hearts.

  1. So true… this is a very common experience. The thing is that if you are genuinely kind and nice, it hurts more not to help. I guess ‘un-gratefulness’ is one of the reasons why we should not expect anything in return when we do something good for others. ☺

  2. It was meant to be that I would see this post at such a time as this. Perfectly timed to coincide with a conversation I had just a few minutes ago with my wife about how I handle obnoxious responses to Facebook and Blog Posts. Example: “our silence towards them is the most powerful weapon we can use to kill them. Let them have their time of day and leave everything to karma.”
