When Was The Last Time You Jumped For Joy?

When was the last morning you felt so happy that you started jumping for joy?

Seriously, when was the last time you really jumped for joy and it wasn’t anything huge that happened?

Many of us have not learned the art of jumping for joy. Maybe the only time we jump for joy is if something huge take place in our lives that was caused by external factors.

Don’t get me wrong now, there are many reasons for us to celebrate our external achievements but we should not be too dependent on them because we cannot allow our happiness to be dependent on things we can loose. Continue reading When Was The Last Time You Jumped For Joy?

Real Talk

real-talk-thursday-3

For this week’s Real Talk Operation Torchlight wrote a very truthful, powerful, and thought provoking message about how fake the world is and how it’s falling apart.
You all need to read this! It’s real and no beating around the bush!

NB: If you missed last week’s real talk you can read it here.

Operation Torchlight

We live in a very fake world.

As cliche as it sounds, it’s the barest truths that create the very cliches we roll our eyes at hearing. We roll our eyes at cliches because we’re tired of hearing them. And we’re tired of hearing them because the problems they reflect never seem anywhere close to resolution.

In this life we see: fake friends, fake love, fake food, fake modesty, fake body parts. And, yes, even fake faith. It’s an illusion; the Buddhists call it “Maya.” Veneer exist to hide blemishes and scars, the ugly things we don’t want others to see, and the ugly things we don’t want to deal with ourselves.

I get it. Really, I do. The truth not only hurts, but it’s often ugly. And the truth is this: our world is falling apart, and no amount of buff-n’-shine, Botox, and Band-Aids wrapped in political correctness can…

Will You Be There When Good Luck Knocks?

I couldn’t help but to laugh when I saw this quote:

“My luck is so bad, if I bought a cemetery people would stop dying.” ~Unknown Author

If only I knew the author of this quote I would encourage him/her to purchase that cemetery so that we all enjoy a taste of good luck. After-all, who wants to die?

Anyhow, on a serious note now…please tell me:

Have you ever felt that you are in bad luck or otherwise bad lucky?

How many times have you heard others complaining about how bad lucky they are?

Maybe quite often you have heard people complaining that no matter what they try to do in life things never work out. Some will even go as far as to say that someone is trying to keep them down and people don’t want to see them strife.

What a pity!

The truth is, unpredictable things do happen that can change the results of what we intended to do or achieve. Furthermore, what we must bear in mind is that we can only plan but it is God that has the final say.

He alone knows what is good or bad for us. The things our heart desires may not be his will.

And let me tell you, when it’s your time to shine no-one can stop you. Things can be going wrong in your life, or rather you can be in bad luck, and then one day out of the blue…Bam! good luck knocks on your door.

So if you are feeling bad lucky don’t give up and don’t lay down all arms. You have to be patient, and keep on pushing so that when good luck arrives you are ready to receive it. Image result for bad luck phrases

IF THERE WAS A LOT MORE LOVE IN THE WORLD

Here is a beautiful and inspiring poem from Keith about love in the world. It’s a very interesting read. Please check it out!

IF THERE WAS A LOT MORE LOVE IN THE WORLD

Dirty looks from those as we pass them by along the road,

See their faces as in the stores their time is rushed, smiles not.

Things are much too fast today, watches are stared at, tick! tick!

Everyone is running for cover, today is not seen, tomorrow a worry.

Schemes to make a dollar, on the go with cell phone attached to an ear,

Neighbors are barely known anymore, do we even know of their names?

There is less love for neighbor and society, we walk our own way,

If there was a lot more love in the world then peace may out do war any way.
